Leroy Percy State Park is the oldest state park in Mississippi. My first trip there. We saw baby deer and yes alligators in the lake where our cabins were located. Signs said DO NOT FEED ALLIGATORA. O. K. They stayed on the other side of the lake I am glad to report. It was perfect weather for a roaring fire which was attended by David and M. G. They did a great job. Food was as always plentyful and good. We hiked and talked and laughed and did us all good. Poor Tommy pulled a muscel in his leg but Jan propped him up and with pain he made the best bacon and pancakes well assited by Mary Grace. Everyone worked to make it great. It is a beautiful small park and very well kept. All are refreshed and ready to go back to work. Except me--I do not have to work anymore. How great is that?
