SATURDAY

Blueberry pancakes in the Cyber Cafe. Good but not like Truman's. Went to Walmart later and bought 1 ear of corn-1 sweet potato==1 tomato==1 yellow squash.Had a feast tonight in my apartment. O yes homemade from scratch cormbread. Sound good? The corn was extra good. I am glad to get some fresh veggies even if I have to cook them for myself. I enjoyed cooking it all. Do you watch DANCING WITH THE STARS? Don't call me on Monday and Tuesday nights because I just might not answer.

THURSDAY

Had lunch Thursday with some of my favorite girls at Jan's house on the proch. Perfect!! We talked about Truman and some fun things we all remembered. All in all it was a very bittersweet day. I think I am going to make it.

SAD

Sad but at peace--knowing that Truman is in the presence of God. Today marks the first year of Truman's passing. I miss him so.

SUNDAY

I put flowers in the Church today in memory of Truman. They were beautiful. Rob remembered him in his prayer, which meant a lot to me. He even had the organist play the Navy Hymn which I thought special. Many spoke to me about Truman and I appreciated that so much. It has been a year since his death and it seems like yesterday in a lot of ways.I have traveled far and still have a ways to go.

Neither you nor I:
But when the trees bow down their heads, the wind is passing through ".
Christina Rossetti-----I am not crazy but I look for Truman in the clouds--and often feel I find him there.

OLD HOME PLACE

Rain has stopped and I am glad. We are moving right along with the closing of the house. A few things were requested by the buyer. Of all things a chimney sweep. Since we have never done this I guess it is about time. A few more things and we expect to close the week of the 13th of April. The number 13 was always Truman's lucky number maybe mine too.

MYNELLE GARDENS

Amy and I went to Mynelle Gardens in Clinton Tuesday. I wish I could send pictures. The Azales were just beautiful. Signs of Spring everywhere. I loved all the old trees. Many with new blooms and leaves. I guess winter is over. We had such a mild one. To top it off we went to downtown Jackson and had lunch at the famous Mayflower where not a lot changes. I remember it when I worked downtown, met Truman and worked together. Sophie joined us for lunch and we enjoyed it all. Ah!!! AGAIN sweet memories.

LITTLE THINGS

Watching the sun come up.
Helping Lois in the hall with her sweater--she told me how thoughtful I am.
Talking to Mazie(new found friend) about her husband.
Lunch on the terrace with my sweet Jan
Eating Lobster Bisque in my apartment. And learning that I may be a great grandmother by Monday..

Life for me is made up of many "little" things" Except the new baby--that is a real big thing

TOP o the MORNING

O how I loved Ireland. Always wanted to go back and live there. Beautiful place, but not as beautiful as my backyard yesterday at the Lake. Amy, brought lunch from Begal Bagle and Jan, Amy, Sophia, M. G, Cary and me, met to have lunch at the Lake. The azaleas have never been so great, as well as everything else. Blooming it's best for our last time there. We hope to close on the house early in April and had to fix a few things to satisfy the inspection first. But it looks good and I hope everything works as planned. I felt a certain closure and it was not a sad time but a thanksgiving for all the good times we all had there. I am wearing green today--don't want any flirty old men pinching me!

SUMMERTIME "And the living is easy?}

We have been sent right into summer. No winter. Well maybe just a hint, Never the less I have been digging into the cedar chest to find something cool to wear. I do not mean "cool" cool but you know what I mean, We have two or maybe three Mallard duck man and wife. One has hatched a family of 10 of the most sweet little babies. Another nest is hatched but I have not seen them. They have 12 0r 15 eggs. It depends on who is telling the story. You know how that goes. There is a story that a third nest was spotted. We will see. We may see roasted duck on the menue soon. Just kidding.

P. S.

Don't forget to "Spring Forward" on your clocks tonight.

SUN TODAY HOORAY

So far Saturday looks good. At least the sun is shining. For now -- more rain is on for tonight. Now we have the weather report out of the way, let us see what else will happen. I must look for a new lamp, my funny looking one has a switch problem. If I had Truman here he would put a new one in. But it is nor worth what it would cost to have a new one put in so I look for a new one, I really like this one. Oh well--change is good, so they say.

SUNDAY

I can't believe how time is passing. Not much going on that needs to be told. Spring is trying to come. But if it goes as usual, we will go fast to summer. Flowers and trees are budding fast and it is a beautiful time of year.Church and lunch with Amy and M. G. Those faitful two are a joy to me. I am "fish sitting" for a friend. It is a male Betta also. Peminto tried to fight but Pipper is too old to care I guess. Their bowls are side by side and my fish makes a run at Piper once in a while but has made friends now. So all is O. K. in fish land. Aren't you glad to hear that? I guess I need a day job.

WEDNESDAY

Busy day. Exercise class then coffee club(always interesting) Amy went with me to have my car serviced,(first time) Only 1600 miles-it hardley needed it. I told the laughing young man that a little old lady mostley drove it to Wal-Wart. I need to get it on the road. Does anyone care to "DRIVE MISS DOTTIE"? We met M. G. and had lunch at SOULSHINE PIZZA FACTORY. I had a Nathan hot dog--what a treat!!. Amy and I took spring flowers to Truman. They look so pretty and I am glad we chose such a pretty and restful place for him. Of course I picture him "skipping" across heaven every day. It has been almost a year since he left this earth for a better place. All in all it was a good day, busy anyway. Thank you Amy and Mary Grace for being so thoughtful.
