SUNDAY

Church, Lunch with Amy, Sophie and Paul at Bon Amie. Got caught up on the New York trip. Dinner at Jan's with the "famous cooks" preparing another feast. Whitney and children were on their way home from a visit to see the new little cousin in Tenn, The boys put on a good show for us and fun was had by all as usual. I am tired and I did nothing but watch. These days that is all it takes.

MINIATURE HORSES

You needed to see them!!!!! They had 25 of the sweetest little horses. They were so beautiful and they brought some out of pens to let us touch and pet them. The horses are such pets. The man and lady who own them just love them like pets. The breed them and sell and show them at shows. They have a beautiful home and land and it was so much to to see them. We had lunch in Canton at the resturant where Truman had my 80th birthday party. Remember? It looked the same and was still good. I was tired--don't like bus rides but it is the way to go.

MINIATURE HORSE FARM

I am going on a day trip today to Wickersham's Miniature Horse Farm and lunch at Debbie's Cafe in Canton. I did not know this is there, never heard of it but it sounds like fun. A beautiful day to ride a St. Catherine's Bus. A little rough ride but full of fun people. We might even sinf "Niney nine bottles on the wall" Or something like that. That would be a real "hoot". Tell you later about it.

TENNESSEE WALTZ

This song has a special meaning for me. It was one T, and I liked. We were not good at dancing but when we would hear it we would without speaking go together and waltz. I heard it two times this week and I could feel his arms around me and us dancing. It was so real. Last night when I heard it on the music chanel--I cried==a lot. I guess I needed that cry, I have not cried like that lately Thank goodness for memories. I keep telling you all to make memories for later. You may need them. I know I do.

SUN IS OUT!!!!

Thank goodness!!!the Croquet players are saying. Big championship is coming on Friday. We watch and celebrate with a band and hamburger cook-out. Everyone wears white. Just like Wimbledon!!
some take it very serious and don"t you forget it. Band from 6-7 and games start at 6. I might watch it from my balcony. Today it is exercise class for me and whatever else happens--I look forward to.

MORE SATTURDAY

Jan and Tommy had lunch with me today. Tommy is glad Tax season is over. Jan brought me strawberries and okra,squash and a beautiful tomato. I will have a real feast. I miss my own way of cooking. I must admit that I love someone else doing most of it for me. I have gotten spoiled that way. It is nice to have people to share meals with too. I still love their stories and things they are doing now. Everyone should see my balcony now. I am living in a flower garden. I love it.

GIANT CLOSET SALE

This is a twice a year event. It really is popular! 7 till 2. Ashley nwould have loved this one. So many interesting stuff. I bought 2 saucers that were pretty to put vases or plants in. I did not see anything else that I could not do without.

FINALLY 'DONE"

I don't know weather to laugh or cry. I have a big old check and no house. It is what I have been praying for for over a year. I think we have good and nice people who will love and enjoy it. I really hope so. I told the man of the house that a lot of living went on there and I could have added a lot of loving too. I do feel strange that I do not own a house and am just renting this place I live but I have made it my home and I am happy here. So home is where the heart is so they say. The man has two teen age boys who will be visiting a lot he hopes and they will really enjoy the lake. Love to all and thanks for your help. It has been a long and rough ride but as Amy reminded me that Truman would have said---"Done and done" Can you just hear him say that? Love to all and thanks for all you did for me.

Sunday

Church and lunch at famous Brent's. Was not famous when I first went there . Our first apartment was in Fondren and we went to Brents' and the Jitney Jungle for groceries. Rode the bus as far as we could and walked the rest of the way. We were young then. Sunday, Amy and I had lunch with Sophie and Paul there. It was fun and very good too. Hope to close the house on Wednesday or Thursday--whatever--I will be glad to celebrate. On to exercise class and a full day. This is good.

13th NOT SO LUCKY

Another delay in closing on the house. Paper work is about to drive me crazy. It will happen--or so I am told-but I must wait. Maybe Tuesday-Wednesday-or Thursday. Take your pick, I will still be here. And when I get the check-it will be done. Beautiful day here. I had French toast in the Cyber this morning. How about that for a treat?I plan to have fried oysters for dinner with two fun ladies tonight. Hope the fried does not bother me too much. It will be worth is. I love oysters any way. Amy had my yard man to dig my sweetheart rose bush up and it now sits in a big pot on the patio around the swimming pool where I can see it. I hope it lives as it is about 35 years old and was rooted from one my Mother had in her yard many years ago. No more news--enough said.

RIVERWOOD

I am getting nervous. Will Fryday the 13th be lucky or will the sale go through? Any thing could go wrong at the last minute and it is not over till that check is presented--and cashed. I went by the house yesterday. I walked around the yard and cut some roses and cried. I could see Truman everywhere and also all of my family enjoying that back yard and Lake. I always say that thoughts create emotions--they did. I should not have gone alone. I know in my heart that this is right and the only thing to do--but it hurts--a lot. "God is my refuge and strenth, a very present help in trouble"Psalms 46-1. I go there a lot. Pray for me tomorrow.

TUESDAY

Just got back from hearing THE OLDE TOWNE MIDDLE SCHOOL BANDt from Ridgeland. 60 plus kids from the 7th grade. Look out high school. They were great. Five drummers Bryan. two were girls!! They came with two buses and a simi trailer to carry instruments. That must be a big school. I enjoyed watching them.

EASTER

It was a beautiful day, Some sadness --some joy--but always good to share it all with family. We missed everyone who could not be together but understand that times do change and maybe we will get to be with most of you at Beach Week. It will be here before we know, the way time seems to fly.

SATURDAY ALREADY

We sang well at the Good Friday service. Now on to Easter Sunrise service here at 7:30. I know the sun has been up for a while by this time but we are a littlr slow to "rise" here. Then to Broadmeadow for Easter service, then to Jan and Tommy's house for lunch. Thanks to all these wonderful cooks it will be great. I am bringing the ham. Not much but thay are so good to me. All this to praise the Lord for Jeasus' suffering on the cross for our sins and he did rise from the dead so we can too. Thanks be to the Lord. Happy Easter and hope the Easter bunny is good to all of you. I sure miss making those Easter baskets. Miss my man too.

A LITTLE LAX

Please forgive me. I have been lazy I guess. So much rain and storms but today, Good Friday is beautiful. MY choir sings this morning for the Good Friday service and then again at the Sunrise Service Sunday (7:30). Not sunrise but close. We have been working hard on the music and I think it will be good. I know I have gotten so much good from it. It is a very good nice group of people and together we sing well. To each his own I am sure we would only make a joyful noise. But even a joyful noise is what we want.
