NEW DOCTOR

I hated to give up Dr, Beall, but he retired and he was so good to me and Truman.  New one he recommended and I like her too.  Met her yesterday with a bag of worries.  She made me feel good and we connected right away.  She thinks I look better than any almost any 89 year old she has seen.  I wish I could feel that way.  She thinks most of my trouble was the new high blood meds I was put on by another Dr,  These meds are very full of side affects.  My pressure is down and as I get off the new, maybe I will feel better soon.  Hope so.  I was relieved to know some of fears were just that --fears.  I haven't felt myself since before Christmas.  I look forward to better days.  I really do try.  I kept telling myself to be still and wait and trust.  I really tried.

Since I had to fast for the exam, Amy and I were famished and we went to Primos for a late breakfast.  O my was it good.  They are known for the best grits and biscuits too. We had the "works."

Stay Home

I decided I needed to stay home today.  Had lunch in dinning room and then a nap.  Boring ?  Yes to me too.  I need to find out the cause of my feeling so bad.  Wednesday to Dr.  Maybe then.  Meanwhile lets read my latest poem.  It does not hurt to write.  Maybe it helps.  Here goes for what it is worth, it has been accepted for the next VILLAGER.

BLUEBERRY

I have a beautiful Beta fish.
He is blue as blue can be.
An answer to a Birthday wish.
The perfect pet for me.

How silently he swims around.
As graceful as can be.
He makes not a sound.
This really does suit me.

Each morning he looks to me,
To feed and take care of him.
His job is just to BE,
And of course to swim

My ideas to write are running low.
When I must write about my fish.
It's hard sometime you know,
As I sit in the Bubble and wish.

Whitney, let Andrew read it and ask him to write one for me.  He has more talent  than I do.   Betty Boop

SATURDAY FUN

Saturday means Jan and fun means Brody and his mom.  That little man is growing and learning so much.  It thrills me that he has started this little protest when he has to go home.  How he cried when he had to leave yesterday He loves the attention everyone here gives him.  He shakes hands and says Hi to everyone.  They love him.  No wonder he does not want to leave.  We both order grilled cheese and fruit and he loves the milk in the carton with a straw. Precious memories for me.

Just can't seem to get on the Well Wagon.  Where is it?  It is running late.  I will catch it some day I guess.  Till then-----Betty Boop

P. S. to SLOW GO

Went to retrieve my paper and came face to face with the paper boy (looked to be 70 or more)  Me in my tattered gown, I just said "Good Morning"  and he replied the same and I said "Thank you"  and he said "You are welcome."  All took a total of 5 or 6 seconds but it seemed longer.  Next time I open my door with just my tattered gown on, I will be a little more careful.  I bet he has seen worse.   MaMaw

SLOW GO

It is hard  to write something worth reading when you have so little to tell.  So it is slow- go around here for me.  Just dealing with a thing like Blood Pressure and it's ups and downs (mostly up), it takes my time and it is not very worthy of reading.

It is so foggy this morning that you can't see the Chapel steeple.  Nor if the buzzards are perching or if the small birds win.  It is quiet a view from there I bet and they all want to sit there.  Just like people, always looking for the best view on top.

Well I must see if my paper has come.

ROLLING ALONG

Not a lot to say--just rolling along.  I decided not to attend the Ladies Pancake Pajama breakfast.  Just not going down in what I sleep in.  No way.  Oh well something else will come along soon that I want to do.

Amy and  Lucy came to visit yesterday.  They had been to the STAR WARS movie.  So be it.  They said it was long.

Must go and read my newspaper.  You know I received  a subscription from my girls.

They really knew what I wanted.  Thanks

BIRD OUT OF CAGE

Yesterday, Saturday. being the day Jan usually comes to visit ,   to check out  problems of a variety of subjects, and to just visit.  I told her I wanted to go to Kroger and shop.  She had been bringing things to me, but I love to go and of course bring back things not on the list.  I had a yearning for Chic-fil-A (yes that is the way they spell it on the take out cup).  We drove by, picked it up and came back to my apartment to eat.  Spent some time getting books from the Madison Library on my Nook.  I am still enjoying it. Amy and M.G. stopped by to pick up borrowed Three Wise Men (wooden of course) to use  at Church this Sunday.  Amy does such a good job as worship chairman at our Church.  I will go this morning and see it.

One of my favorite gifts at Christmas was a year subscription to the Jackson Clarion Ledger.  Can't wait to see the Sunday edition.  I have missed it. Now I have it--life is good.
