I reread my P. S. and it had a misspelled word. Maybe I need some time off. Since my readers are few and far between-------I doubt if I would even be missed.

P. S. TO BLOG
I misspelled a work. So what else is new" It is spelled Sweet Patootie. I think. Betty Boop
"SWEET POOTIE"
Do you know what it means? Last night at dinner a story emerged that involved a resident at my table and another resident's husband. It was funny and we had a good laugh. Later I got curious and did what my Sophie would do--Google it. You might enjoy reading the meaning and the origin. Maybe I will tell the rest of the story to you sometime. Not a good one for Cyber World.
I am cooking Lady peas for my supper--along with Amy's stuffed bell pepper that she brought me. I will add another veggie and supper will be great.

GOOD BYE TO "LADY CATHERINE"
Read it again--not St. Catherine but Lady Catherine. Maybe you tuned me out when I named my tomato plants? Like "Let us ignore her. And pretend she did not say that?" Well I decided Lady Catherine was fading away, I got her out of her misery and trimmed her to the stalk and cut the rest up. She really never did do as good as her partner "Dexter." He is still looking good and producing many little cherry tomatoes. He is not a total success story. The skin on his tomatoes is thick and you can't chew it. O well, I enjoyed taking care of them and watching them grow. But on a lighter note, my okra plant is blooming and next comes little pods of okra (I hope.) I decided not to give it a name. Did not want to jinx it.
Enough silly stuff, It is a slow news day. Yesterday was good and yet I was tired at the end of the day. Lunch with Amy's sweet kids is always fun. Mexican food and I have no idea what I ate. It was good. Slow service and Amy got coffer spilled on her. She is O. K. but it was a surprise to say the least. I will go for now--I made some tuna salad and I will have it with local tomatoes (not mine.)

DISSAPPOINTED
Well we had plenty to sell but somehow it wasn't much for me. I did luck up on a few linens for M. G.'s reception. She has some real sweet ideas. I bought a small ceramic cat. All orange striped. Now I have a cat.!! No trouble at all. No litter, food or water but also no soft fur to pet or to watch play and maybe sleep on my bed. O well everyone needs something to want. A real cat is my "want." If there is a Kitty heaven, I will see Penny some day. Such a sweet cat. I have had a lot of cats over the years and some I just loved and some were unlovable--but that is what cats are all about. Independent and a mind of their own. That is what I love about them.
On to another subject. Amy and I went to see Ruby yesterday. She is in Highland Home for therapy and recovery. She was glad to see us and seemed better in some ways. She is working hard on therapy hoping to get settled somewhere soon. Where is undecided at this point. Keep her in your prayers. That is what she asked us to tell everyone.
Breakfast alone this morning, Don't know where my BB"s (breakfast buddies) were. I think I remember them telling me their grandchildren were coming. I hope I get to see them as they are so cute and they are so proud of them. J. & T. went to the coast this weekend so I wont get to see her. I will miss that. I must remember they all have lives of their own and not ask too much of their time. I will have to make do with these "old, but good" friends around here. Hey that is not bad at all. You must remember that they were all young at one time and have interesting stories to tell. I intend to hear them all. Really , you never know what great and funny things you can find out. I just love it. I just saw a book for sale by Reber Layton on purple martins. You remember our most interesting neighbors on Riverwood? He was an expert on purple martins. I had that book once upon a time so I left it for someone else to buy. Reber is gone now but his books live on. Just like Truman. If you want to feel like T. is still with us--reread his books. It is just like hearing him talk. On that note, I will go and see what interesting thing I will find today.

MRS. CLEAN!!!!
How nice can it get? I'll tell you----Strip the bed linens gather towels and bath cloths. put them outside my door and like magic--fresh clean and folded ones appear. O. K. I do have to walk down the hall to do personal laundry, but I don't want anyone else to do that for me. At least not yet. O. K. back and did my own shampoo. Dishwasher empty. Truman and I used to dodge that job. It was a game to see who would get caught to open it up clean and have to put them away. So you see it is all about MRS. CLEAN today. Wow it must be a slow day for me. I did have breakfast with my usual friends. The topics we discuss are very interesting. Through some I am just a listener and I learn something new every day. It would be of no interest to you so I will keep it to myself. As I say many times--"Life is good." May I add--for today anyway. Oh yes my cheese omelet with tomato inside and bacon on the outside, toast and coffee was another "perk", with someone to cook and serve it and no clean up because one of my breakfast friends insist on caring the dirty dishes to the bin. God bless him. I wonder what else good and "clean" will happen today?
