LOOK MOM, NO CAVATIES

Music to my ears.  Of course I take good care of my teeth.  Little sugar helps with much of it.  Any way I has happy to hear that the pre cancer in a spot is still gone. 

Amy and I went to our favorite--Piccadilly (sp)? for lunch.  I always love their liver and onions.  Cabbage and black-eyed peas is icing on the cake.  Good day but was tired.   I am off to PT for a little grueling!!  Yes it is just  patch, patch, patch.  SO BE IT.

ONE THING AND ANOTHER

Well, Monday started off with an eye infection.  Went to Dr.Ford (the great conversationalist.) Jan and I can't look at each other because we might break into giggles. He is a hoot for sure.  But we got some eye meds  and it will be all right.  I go to the dentist today.   Amy's turn to haul me around.  My but I feel needy. Thank goodness they are the best at making me feel o.k. about all the stuff they do for me.  Everyone (old) should be so  lucky to have such good help.  M. G. came by and gave Bitsy her shot.  Like a  nurse she is. And I do appreciate her a lot.  Oh well   SO BE IT.  I always say.

SUPERSATURDAY

Woke  up feeling like an adventure (as Jan calls it.) That means my numbers were normal and I have been wanting to check out sales at my favorite department store--Dillards.  I know it is a late but sometime you get better bargains but less choices.  That makes it an adventure.  We started as the store opened to conserve my energy.  Found 2 pair of pants, 4 tops and one sweater. I am rich again or am I?  More clothes and less money.  O. K. Win some lose some. or something like that.  I was pleased.   Lunch at the new Food Court was good.  It really does look better with it's new makeover.  So light, clean, much bigger.  Made for less noise.  I really enjoyed  the morning.  Jan is so helpful and patient  with me.  She said she enjoys helping me. What a blessing I have with two girls here.  I know Linda would be the same if she were here.  I also needed some makeup--got that and we headed home.   Home and bed for a nap.  All in all, a good day.

FRIDAY {already?}

I had lunch with a lady  and her husband that I know but have never dined with them before.  They live in one of the houses and do not come over much.  My she was a talker and very entertaining (maybe)  I was a little weary when it was over.  She talked for her husband too.  I know he can talk, but has a hard time getting a word in.  She told of her first   husband and told of his  first  or was it second wife?   I lost count.  Down right funny the way she told it.  O well it was a little too much to share. You never know what will come out over lunch !!

I have to go do a little laundry.  I had breakfast in the Cyber, because I woke up early and also because I could!!!

DARK OUTSIDE

It is dark and cloudy early.  I think we can expect it all day and more rain.  Someone needs to build an Ark I think.  I never want to go through a flood like 1979 when the water came all around our house on Riverwood.  Thank heaven it did not come in the house but we had to get out till it receded.   Bad memories.

Amy came yesterday and decorated  the table in the hall.  I had just about used all my stuff too much.  She has many nice, pretty, and cute items to decorate with.  I will ask her to make a picture to share when she comes again.  I really like it!!!!

I have a meeting to go to.  Mary Margret Judy (her name sounds like a Nun, but she isn't one.)  She is our director and a very good one.  She has a meeting for residents once a month to bring us up on current events and past ones too.  I like to go just to hear what is real and what is gossip.  A lot of rumors can get started as you would expect among people like us.  See you later.

DAY 2

I had a wonderful lunch for New Years'. I got my fill of black eyed peas and very good cabbage.  Money and luck.  I need them both.  I also splurged with turtle cheesecake.  It did not do me under, but I want do it again for a while.  My it was good.  Nice company with Judy at my table.  Missed Betty.  Hope she is back soon.  One man said he went to the new Years party (he has a girl friend here).  He is in his 90's, and uses a walker.  Went through 2 hip replacements a couple of years ago.  He loves to dance.  He announced proudly that he danced with 7 women including his girl friend.  He was at lunch, but she "slept in."  I say hooray for him.  He was once a very well known architect  here in Jackson.

I have a bunch of Dr's appointments this month.  I hate that they all come together, but I will get them behind me. Therapy will be mixed in.  Hope that helps I don't have time for anything else  except Choir.  That I love.  Hope to keep that activity.  We will see.  What will be--will be.  And I am thankful.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Yes, to you I wish a good one.  Truman and I were not big on parties.  We went to bed before midnight and rarely saw the ball drop till next day on the news.  I did not drink and he rarely did, so that lets you out sometime. Today you can't go anywhere with out the habit.  So Be It.  It bothers me a lot.  But people make their own choices. Still not for me. 

It is finally light outside. Very cloudy.  I woke at 5:30 and just got up.  Everything is closed here except the New Year's lunch in dinning room.  I am going.  I must get me some black eyed peas.  Need all the luck I can get.  I don't really believe they will bring good luck. I just happen to like any kind of peas.  So good luck to you all and please keep reading.  I would hate to think I am writing to the wind.  I do express my opinion sometime.  To each his own.
