42 AND WINDY, WHO IS THAT CRAZY OLD LADY ON BALCONY?

Now, who sits there in the cold?  Someone who would fall asleep in her chair and miss the first 15 minutes of MICHAEL BUBLE'S CHRISTMAS SPECIAL.  Now if that does not "take the cake" !!!!.  Yes I have talked about it and looked forward to it since I heard it was coming. Got all set and too comfortable I guess and it came on at almost my bedtime.  Sleep snuck up and took over and I woke 15 minutes late.  I thought, what I saw of it, was very good.  He is such a talented man.  Full of energy and looks so happy. He has other people to share in his talent, but not too much, that you don't miss him.  Sure enjoyed what I saw. Oh well, I did do well at the Dentist yesterday.  Amid a thunder storm, she worked away to give me a good cleaning.  My E-Rays showed 

Nothing to worry about and I am good for another 6 months. So, I guess for now, ALL IS WELL.

RAINY MONDAY

 I usually like rainy Monday's.  But today I don't. Just a leftover memory from childhood, of going to dentist.  I now brush with an electric tooth brush, 3-4 times a day and don't eat sweets. But I still worry about cavities and other problems.  You know the ones that come from "old age."  When a Doctor starts every conversation with "Mrs, Ellis, as we get older" you know the routine,  

I talked to # 1 daughter yesterday.  That little "BUDDY" of a dog is sure giving pleasure to them and he is a LUCKY DOG.

SO NICE ON BALCONY

Enjoy this weather.  We will soon be wishing for days like this one.  I am planning to go to Church with A. this morning. Will find the Spirit there.   Decorations and music.  What could be better?  Angel presents all finished.  Angels are crowned and waiting in bags.  Must wait till a little later to deliver.  Hard to wait.  Oh, I must check to see when MICHAEL BUBLE' has his Christmas special on TV.  Don't want to miss him.  I had to have a Maintenance man come and get my TV back on.  I hit a wrong button and it would not change channels.  I am such a "dummy" when it comes to these matters. Thank goodness these people here are very forgiving and will fix anything, big or small.  I think no TV is a big thing.  He was kind and showed me what to do if I did that again. {just hope I remember.}  TV is company when you need it.  Well off to Church and after, we will drop by and visit Truman with a bunch of red roses (artificial of course) but beautiful when A. arranges them.  Then whatever happens next?   Will wait to see. i already know what tomorrow will bring--trip to Dentist for my 6 months check  up.  My how time does fly.

BAD THIS MORNING

Yes, I confess---Cyber Pancake for breakfast.  Sometime you have to chance it.  Mine was a little on the saucer size!!  Even I could not finish it.  Maybe because I had scrambled egg and bacon also?  We will see if it was worth it soon.  J. came yesterday bringing groceries.  It seems all I do is eat.  I do have a healthy (?) apatite. Leads me to overdo it sometimes.  

Well today is THE BIG DAY. The day I put the finishing part on my Angels.  The crowns are ready, all shinny and waiting.  Some are gold, some are silver.  That means nothing (just what I had to work with.)  Can't wait to put them in pretty red and white bags on a bed of tissue paper and tied with ribbon.  But I will wait till closer to Christmas to deliver.  Hope they don't fly away before then.

DADDY WARBUCKS!!!

Did you see Harry Connick Jr, in ANNIE?  It was live in a musical.  I enjoyed the music and dancing.  Those kids who performed were so good. Of course he is so talented in many directions, I think a lot of him.  I read a lot of good things about him.  I had a full day, with Resident meeting that lasted so long, A. and Ed. came to confirm what I expected-the printer did not accept my new lap-top.  So out with the old, yet still seems good to me.  Time marches on and out went the printer.  I can do without you anyway.  Balcony was pleasant and refreshing, walkers paradise for sure. Another big event today, am trying to decide if I want to tackle another. Too much fun to have, am not programed for it all. I need to finish my Angels, as A. brought the needed ribbon and bags to transport them in. Hey, oatmeal was good, blueberries & strawberries made it even better. Well, must go now and on with the day. Need to make a correction before I go.  I quoted the Irish saying like this "Let that hare lie." It is really is--"Let That Hare Stay"  Not that it matters or anyone noticed.  Maybe if you are Irish?

ANOTHER BEAUTY

Ballet Magnificat!!! My it was beautiful and what a start to the Christmas season.  Over 40 beautiful young ladies and two young men performed to perfection in our activity room yesterday.  Nice crowd cheered them on.  It is so good to see dedicated young Christian men and women doing something they love.  They told the Christmas story in dance.  So beautifully told that I was very touched.  The reading of scripture read by one beautiful dancer was inspiring and she shared her faith with us at the end.  It was so different from all the bad news we hear each day.  It gave me Hope for the future, and the old, old, story was new again.

On a more mundane note, I saw a new walker.  I will call him--MR. MY HEAD WILL BE THERE BEFORE THE REST OF ME,  He was walking fast, like he could not get there fast enough, so he had his head out there before the body.  Kind of funny.  He did take time to look up and he kept looking as if he wasn't sure of what he was seeing.  I started to wave, but thought better of it.  As the Irish say,  "Let that hare lie"   meaning don't go there.  Good choice?

RED LETTER DAY

Got an early Christmas present from "me".  A beautiful, fast. and easy lap-top.!!!  Many thanks to all who made it happen.  It is so fast and efficient and it even said Good Morning Dot when I checked the weather. 44 and nice, by the way on the Balcony.  The Chinese Tallow tree is almost naked this morning.  I did enjoy it this year.  The small Ducks gave the Canada Geese room to pass.  All were polite and quiet.  Frost has turned the Meadow brown and is sleeping for the winter.  No walkers this early.  Even the balcony birds have not appeared yet.  But toast crumbs await them.  

I must correct something.  I told you about hearing a good special on MPB.  Had the name wrong.  It is the world -famous  Andrea Bocellis.  I can really mess up sometime.  So far, I have not been impressed with the other Christmas specials I have seen.  But today here we have a treat.  I know you all know about the local BALLET MAGNIFICAT !!  Well they are performing here today.  I have seen them many times and have a connection to the creators.  Can't wait to see what they can do on our little stage. How about that?  Many other treats are in store for us, we are blessed with caring people who work hard for our VILLAGE.  This has been a too long blog, sorry.
