WAKE UP LITTLE SUZY !!!!

Did you set fall back? How could you forget with all reminders? I felt good when I set all the clocks in this small apartment! But the joke is always on me. I decided to program Mr. Coffee to come on at 6 this morning. Feeling in the mood to set something else. It is simple, not even instructions in the book. Just do it. So, I set it to come on at 6:07. Cool time. Came in this morning to kitchen, confident it would be merrily doing the task. Oh, no, silly me. I set it for P.M instead of A. M. Good thing I set it after 6 or it would have been really a mix up. Oh, well, I punched COME ON NOW and it came on and made coffee for me. Although I think I heard Mr. Coffee snicker a little. Oh. well, the birds were mixed up too. It rained a little last night-balcony was too wet to put out crumbs, but they were hungry and pacing around as I ate from the inside. Could not stand for that. There was a small dry spot just outside the door. I put out cracker crumbs and watched as they swarmed the area, and it was clean in no time. As they drifted away, they were singing" GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU" I declare they were!! He did take care of them--through me!!

Now what a morning so far.

FINALLY

The rain is falling, and we do need it.The Balcony is wet up to the door, so here I sit at the laptop and write. After preparing a beautiful breakfast of my Diabetic French Toast, I feel full and happy. I need to get a job in the Cyber and be advertised as Dotty-The-Magical-Diabetic-Cook. Keep me out of the Halls, but also in trouble. So, forget that notion. One Summer when I was 14, I went to visit my Magical Aunt Peg in North Carolina. All by myself, by train!! She and her husband had a small Diner. She let me wait on tables for a while. Too much work for me. I knew right then I wanted another profession. That was a good growing up experience to visit them by myself. I loved my aunt and she let me grow up a little.

L[ITTLE BREEZY

Weather report. Just look at the sky, and then you will know. T. V. weather people interest me. So many women go into that profession now. I find myself watching to see what color dress they pick each day, the style, and also' I look at the beautiful hair style. Oh, those long curls down their back and over the eyes. My, must be hard to keep it perfect. And those high heels they titter on. Well, you can see why I need to keep up with the weather!!!

So not much to write today. But you should have had breakfast with me this morning. I would have started you with orange juice, then famous cooked oatmeal with banana and strawberries, Rye toast with melted cheese on top, crisp turkey bacon, and the best coffee, served up by MR. COFFEE. He is trying to win me over and doing just that!!  By the way, for a couple of reasons, Thanksgiving turkey may be short this season. So, gobble on down to market and buy one.

GOOD FOR ME.

My Personal Shopper did good yesterday. She brought me a New Coffee Maker.  Put Mr. Presto on inactive duty and gave him furlough. He will stay alert and ready to serve when needed. Hope I will not need him soon. In comes a new Mr. COFFEE. looking fresh and slick. I read instructions and gave him a trial run without coffee grounds, and he purred so smooth and at ease. Man, I liked him from the first. This morning, I gave him the duty and he made for me two delicious cups of joe. I am very proud of my new maker, but what will I write about now? Something will turn up soon, I hope. 

With mist on the Lake again and then sun came out. I sat for a while and just thought, what a beautiful world. Flawed and troubled it is--that is just the people who live in it. Look for the beautiful, it is all around us. COKESBURY WORSHIP HYMNAL-page 98. LOOK FOR THE BEAUTIFUL

ENGLISH MUFFIN

Purple is my information color. This morning, as I ate my wholewheat, toasted muffin, I thought about how they were n0t originally from England. I read about their history, so I am an expert. however, an Englishman who lived in America did event them. Much history is there to read, when you get the time. Meanwhile, like me, ENJOY them. The birds really enjoyed a few crumbs this morning. I made too much breakfast for myself, and I could not eat the whole muffin I toasted. So, they got half. I saw a few walkers. It is perfect this morning. The mist over the Meadow is earie and mystical. So beautiful. The sun is out now and away with the fog. Jan brought me much great fruit yesterday. I hardly knew what to try this morning. So good. Thank You. Cantaloupe and yesterday I had pineapple. Strawberries are good, and blueberries go in freezer for later. Little at a time. I could mention more, but afraid you might show up for breakfast. Now that would be good too.

DID YOU SEE IT??

I mean the incredible sunrise this morning. No artist's pallet has pinks and blues like the heaven displayed this morning. You look and glance away and back and it changes that fast. My, what a privilege to see it this morning. This is change-over day. My Hall table will go from witches to turkeys. I do love to be in charge of the display. I do feel a little guilty of my possession of it. No help wanted. Does that make me a bad person? Sorry if it does. I do so little to make this place happen. Used to be able to do much more. so, I hang on to what I can do. We are lucky to have many new residents moving in and hope for many of them to enjoy doing the things we do. The residents are like no other place I know. We do so much to make things happen. As the saying goes: "It takes a Village." So true here. I watched through the window as they "partied" yesterday at the Halloween party. My they were hilarious. Dancing, eating. laughing at the many costumes' and having a blast. I did not go, did not feel up to celebrating, so I am glad they had a good time. 

Well, on to the day.

SCARRY AROUND THE HALLS

Does the orange show up? My as I went to breakfast in Cyber, I was first greeted by Jasamine wearing her pretty face made up like a CAT, ears and whiskers to match. So cute, as she proudly showed me a picture of her cute little girl all dressed up. In came a lady for breakfast dressed in a huge covering of a pumpkin. Also, perfect. I strolled to the front desk after breakfast. All were dressed for the big Halloween party we are having this afternoon. One especially cute was a Mickey Mouse. Even our CEO had on a butterfly outfit with wings!! The staff are the best!!Like family to us. Can't wait for the party this afternoon. Makes me wish I had A's black funeral dress, which I have worn in a couple of plays in the past, plus Candy's perky little black hat with the tall feather, also worn by me. I have had a stressful, full several days and forgot about Halloween. Maybe it is meant to be, that I just sit back and observe? Somebody's got to have the job.
