CALM AND CLEAR

Calm and clear and a beauty of a day. I was just looking at Grand Daughter's blog.  She and husband are really into gardening.  Can't wait to see the results.  Something to eat and something of beauty to look at. My husband was good at raising things for us to eat too.  We called all beans butter beans, green beans were (Kentucky Wonders)  were his choice.  Plenty of tomatoes and okra. He thought those basics were what we needed.  So many delightful choices now.  And new ways to plant.  We wanted to plant corn, but never enough room.  I learned to can what he grew and other things that were given to us, we did alright.  We had fun canning tomatoes.  They were so pretty all lined up on the kitchen counter and we would listen for them to pop and seal.  Simple things to remember, but sweet.

Here I go again, "Down Memory Lane" to the Memory Bank.
