BREAKFAST WITH BRODY (and others)

Wow! What a weekend we had.  Twelve of us almost froze.  The clouds would not part and the wind blew off the lake to make it almost impossible to sit outside.  We sat on the screened porch and covered our summer bodies with whatever we could find.  But it was so much fun and a beautiful weekend.  Oh the food was wonderful.  We celebrated Jan and David's birthday.  Since it was David's big 30th, Jan and Cary spared nothing.  He was well celebrated every day.  We pretty much stick to the usual foods and then more. Steak, baked tuna, hamburgers Wonderful red beans and rice made by Paul. pancakes on Sunday(chef Tommy) and so much more.  Grilled veggies get Amy's special touch.  Sounds like all we did was eat.  While that is a big part of it, the centerpiece is family.  I think being force to stay inside and around a fire in the fireplace  (courtesy of Tommy), was a blessing.  We enjoyed each other .  I know I enjoyed watching each member and listening to them talk. It was so good to me.

I hope we will continue to be close and respectful of each other.  It is the only way to be.  What joy we receive when we love each other.

Preaching  again.
