The jets are flying this morning. I thought back to my first flight. By myself at that. I flew to Dallas to watch Truman graduate from Southern Methodist School of Banking. Everybody on the plane knew it was my first flight. Such a "bumpkin" I was. My delight was made known by me. Since then I have flown many time, some over the ocean, kind of scary but we did that together. You know, I have not had the chance to fly in a while, but I never got used to the thrill as you leave the earth and lift into the air. What a feeling. I wish I could turn back time and do it all over again. Not just remember but to really be there.
