LITTLE COOL ON BALCONY

I gave up on people this morning, guess they are dodging the rain. I came inside and turned to books to write this morning. A book of poems came to mind. In my late teens, I discovered poetry. Through Ted Malone. He had a radio program, where he read poems. Poems of unknows at the time. I thought I could do that too, and in my late years I have written a small number of them. Wish I had written this one. by one who was unknown, still is, I guess. I like it:

                                         A WISE OLD OWL

A WISE OLD OWL LIVED IN AN OAK;

THE MORE HE SAW THE LESS HE SPOKE;

THE LESS HE SPOKE THE MORE HE HEARD;

WHY CAN'T WE ALL BE LIKE THAT BIRD?

BETTY (will leave you with that thought) BOOP

p. s. back to my book!!
